THE NIGHT é o nome do primeiro EP lançado pela Melanie C, sedo uma parceria com a drag queen, DJ e produtora Jodie Harsh. O EP foi lançado mundialmente digitalmente pelo iTunes e inclui em seu tracklist três músicas que a dupla fez durante a produção do álbum THE SEA, mas que não foram incluídas. O EP estreou em #159 na para oficial de singles e #16 na parada de singles independente do Reino Unido. Como ele foi vendido como single pelo iTunes, ele entrou na parada com o nome da faixa SET YOU FREE. No dia 30 de maio de 2012, Melanie C e Jodie Harsh liberaram gratuitamente a versão Extended Mix de SET YOU FREE e SUNRISE.
