Lançamento oficial:
No dia 26 de junho de 2012, as Spice Girls se reuniram pela primeira vez em público desde o Return of the Spice Girls Tour em 2008. O quinteto juntou-se para anunciar o musical do West End, que é baseado nas canções do grupo.
As meninas fizeram uma conferência de imprensa no Hotel St Pancras em Londres, que foi também o local de seu primeiro vídeo Wannabe e, claro, o momento não poderia passar sem algumas fotos que estão sendo tomadas pela imprensa na escadaria infame.
Premiere:
Mesmo já tendo começado com os previews no dia 27 de novembro de 2012, a grande premiere mundial ocorreu no dia 11 de dezembro de 2012. As cinco Spice Girls estiveram presentes com suas respectivas famílias no Piccadilly Theatre, West End. Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Mel B e Melanie C chegaram no tapete vermelho juntas de mãos dadas e posaram para a mídia e fãs. Victoria Beckham chegou mais de 20 minutos atrasada junto de sua família, fato que deixou muitos fãs decepcionados.
Antes do encerramento do espetáculo, as cinco Spice Girls subiram ao palco, novamente de mãos dadas, se abraçaram e fizeram seus respectivos agradecimentos. Ainda, as cinco tiraram fotos juntas, com Judy, Jennifer e com o elenco do musical.
Após a grande estreia, as Spice Girls e seus convidados foram festejar e jantar no Victoria Embankment Gardens.

Ainda em 2012, no dia 24 de dezembro, foi ao ar na ITV o documentário The Spice Girls' Story: Viva Forever!. Seguindo a linha do documentário Giving You Everything (2007), as cinco Spice Girls contam a sua trajetória de anônimas ao sucesso mundial. O filme ainda conta com a participação das mães de Melanie B e Victoria Beckham, antigos produtores, e várias celebridades como a girlband Saturdays, a comediante Dawn French e o ator Richard E Grant. Além de mostrar fatos da história do grupo, o registro mostra o envonvimento do grupo na criação do musical Viva Forever!, desde o início até sua premiere.

Victoria Beckham foi notável por sua ausência no lançamento cocktail Viva Forever! na Harvey Nichols, que foi assistido por suas colegas Spice Girls Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm e Geri Halliwel no dia 05 de fevereiro de 2013. Os quatro Spice Girls restantes se juntaram Jennifer Saunders, escritora do musical Viva Forever!, baseado nas músicas do catálogo da banda, e Judy Craymer, produtora do show. Victoria tinha uma boa desculpa para o seu não comparecimento - a cantora que virou designer estava nos EUA para lançar sua nona coleção no New York Fashion Week. Encerramento:
No dia 02 de maio de 2013 foi confirmado que o musical fecharia as portas em oito semanas. Melanie C, Emma, Geri e Mel B postaram no Twitter sua tristeza com a notícia. Mesmo assim, todas as Spice Girls, incluindo Victoria Beckham, foram assistir pelo menos mais uma vez o espetáculo após saberem que o show iria encerrar as atividades.
Melanie C e Emma Bunton estiveram na noite de encerramento do musical Viva Forever!, no dia 29 de junho de 2013. Após o término do musical, as duas Spice Girls foram até o palco para fazer agradecimentos. Viva Forever! teve um grande início com noites esgotadas, porém, após receber críticas negativas pela imprensa britânica, a procura por ingressos diminuiu e mesmo com alterações no roteiro, o musical não conseguiu o público desejado para se manter por muito tempo no West End.

THE NIGHT é o nome do primeiro EP lançado pela Melanie C, sedo uma parceria com a drag queen, DJ e produtora Jodie Harsh. O EP foi lançado mundialmente digitalmente pelo iTunes e inclui em seu tracklist três músicas que a dupla fez durante a produção do álbum THE SEA, mas que não foram incluídas. O EP estreou em #159 na para oficial de singles e #16 na parada de singles independente do Reino Unido. Como ele foi vendido como single pelo iTunes, ele entrou na parada com o nome da faixa SET YOU FREE. No dia 30 de maio de 2012, Melanie C e Jodie Harsh liberaram gratuitamente a versão Extended Mix de SET YOU FREE e SUNRISE.
